Leadership & Staff
Brad was called to be senior pastor at Eagle River Grace Church in December 2020. Prior to this, he served two years as assistant pastor. Brad has a Master’s degree in Christian Apologetics from Southern Evangelical Seminary and a Master of Divinity degree from Grace Seminary. Born and raised in the State of Maine, he graduated from the University of Maine in Orono with a degree in Civil Engineering. His career in engineering found him serving four years in the US Army, eight years with the State of Alaska Department of Transportation, and sixteen years in the US Public Health Service. It was while attending UMaine he met his wife, Jill, who he married in June 1994. Brad and Jill are blessed to have three children and three grandchildren. They enjoy doing outdoor activities together like skiing, hiking, hunting, and fishing.
Luke Magnusson
Associate Pastor
Luke has - in his own words - "the best job on the planet". He runs our young adult ministries, helps with worship, and gets to serve in a variety of other ways throughout the week at ERG. Luke graduated from Moody Bible Institute in 2013 and moved to Alaska the same day. He and his wife Gia became part of Eagle River Grace shortly afterwards, and he was called by the elders to help Pastor in 2020. He is passionate about biblical masculinity, humility, and hiking in the Creator's creation. A farmer at heart, Luke lives in Palmer with his wife and 4 kids, and a few Shetland sheep at all times. He loves meeting with people to hear their story and share more about what God is doing at Eagle River Grace.
